AMA Supercross Class Stats – Las Vegas
-First race was held on
March 17th, 1990 and Jeff Matiasevich won on a Kawasaki.
-This will be the 18th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross class race in Sam Boyd Stadium.
First time winners: Jeff Matiasevich (1990); Mike LaRocco (1991); Jeff Emig: (1995)
-Jeremy McGrath won his first ever Supercross at Sam Boyd, He won the Lites class on a
Kawasaki.
-Jeremy McGrath has won in
Las Vegas seven times, three in the Lites class and four in the AMA Supercross class.
-From 1993-2002, there were 156 rounds of AMA Supercross raced. McGrath missed only one race, which happened to be in
Las Vegas 1995.
-From 1996-2002, McGrath made 110 consecutive starts.
-In 1997, Doug Henry made history when he won the
Las Vegas supercross on a Yamaha four-stroke motorcycle. That was the first time a four-stroke motorcycle won an AMA Supercross event.

-Kevin Windham earned his fourth race win of the year, the 16th of his career.
-Honda earned their fifth win of the season.
-Chad Reed earned his 85th career podium.
-Reed will be making his 97th consecutive start, 13 races shy of McGrath’s record.

AMA Supercross Lites Stats – Las Vegas
-First race was held on
March 17th, 1990 and McGrath would won on a Kawasaki.
-This is the 18th time the gate will drop for an AMA Supercross Lites race in
Las Vegas.
-In 1995, this race became the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout.
-In 12 shootout races the East has won six and the West has won six.
-Since the shootout started in 1995, four times has a newly crowned AMA Supercross Lites champion won the main event: Windham (1997); Carmichael (1998); 1999, Ramsey (1999); Stewart (2004);
