Honda’s Valentino Rossi took yet another pole position for tomorrow’s Mugello GP race. Three Italians will be on the front row for their home GP, including Rossi, Loris Capirossi (Honda) and Max Biaggi (Yamaha). Capirossi and Biaggi will line up third and fourth, with Suzuki’s Kenny Roberts second on the grid. Interestingly, the Kenny Roberts’ Proton three-cylinder riden by Jurgen vd Goorbergh will line up on the second row in seventh position, ahead of several factory four-cylinder machines.
In the 250 class, four Aprilias will line up on the front row for tomorrow’s race, led by Tetsuya Harada. The dominant force in this year’s 250 GP class, Daijiro Katoh (Honda) qualified sixth.
