More than one report is indicating that Anthony Gobert, the Vance and Hines Ducati Superbike star contesting the AMA Championship series this year, will ride a Ducati in the World Superbike series next year.

Gobert, after testing positive for drug use in both FIM Grand Prix competition and last year in the AMA Superbike series, has rebounded to combine consistency and sufficient dedication to convince Ducati management that he is a likely heir to Carl Fogarty’s World Superbike champion status.

Gobert’s natural talent has never been questioned. Indeed, there are plenty of observers who label him the most naturally gifted rider ever. If Gobert can combine his talent with a decent work ethic and, of course, a little luck, he could be World champion several times over.
