Last Sunday, July 18, 1999, saw another battle between the Hayden brothers, Tommy and Nicky, in the AMA 600 Supersport class.
Nicky came out on top following an incredible last-lap pass. While both riders slid around the track using their dirt track skills to control their bikes in a thrilling finish.
Nicky Hayden padded his points lead, which may be insurmountable with just two AMA Supersport races left in this year’s series.
