The 250 class at the Unadilla, New York Outdoor National Motocross race this past weekend involved some spectacular racing, with Mike LaRocco taking his first overall victory of the year. LaRocco took first place in the first moto, and second place in the second moto. LaRocco was followed by Greg Albertyn, who went 3/1 and Kevin Windham who went 4/4.
The first 250cc moto was, perhaps, the best motocross race of the year. Do not miss this race when it appears on your local television station!
Sebastien Tortelli, who has led the series and has been its fastest rider, crashed and may have injured himself in the second moto. Motorcycle Daily will provide additional details later in the week.
125 action went according to the script, with Ricky Carmichael going 1/1 for his sixth overall victory of the seven 125 rounds held this year.
Tallon Vohland (one of the few riders fast enough to challenge Carmichael this year) was injured in the first moto. He apparently suffered broken ribs.
Carmichael is so much faster than his competition in the 125 cc class that he won the second moto after crashing in the first turn and remounting in 35th place!
