American Colin Edwards won both races at Brands Hatch today, with his Honda teammate Aaron Slight second both times.

Britain’s Carl Fogarty, the favorite for this race, and a very confident rider at Brands Hatch, had a terrible day. In the first race, he had to pit to change tires – ending up with a 19^th place finish. The second race was far better for Fogarty (4^th place), but he again failed to make the podium in front of his rabid fans at Brands Hatch – considered his home track.

Fogarty’s closest pursuer in the points race, Troy Corser, also had a bad day, finishing 5^th and 13^th, barely making up any points on Fogarty, who continues to enjoy a large points lead in the championship.
