Nicky Hayden (Honda) had an off day, finishing fifth in the 600 Supersport race at Pikes Peak International Raceway. This was good enough, however, to win the 600 Championship by eight points over his brother Tommy Hayden (Yamaha), who finished second in the race. The race was won by Aaron Yates (Kawasaki) with Kurtis Roberts (Honda) finishing third.
