Kawasaki has created a partnership with engine tuner Rob Muzzy to compete in the
2000 AMA/Prostar drag racing series. Muzzy will build race bikes to compete in
the Pro Superbike, 600cc SuperSport and Streetbike Shootout classes. Kawasaki’s
factory racing team will compete aboard the Muzzy-tuned bikes.
Muzzy has a long-standing relationship with Kawasaki; in the ’80s he tuned
Kawasakis for AMA Superbike Champions Wayne Rainey and Eddie Lawson. More
recently, he ran Kawasaki’s factory-supported AMA Superbike team until the
end of this year, when Kawasaki took the team in-house.
