There is evidence that Honda is moving quickly to make good on its “industry dominance” pledge. The latest rumor (accompanied by pictures of a prototype in Europe) involves an XR400 replacement.
As everyone knows, Honda introduced the aluminum-framed, XR650 earlier this year. The XR400 replacement is reportedly aluminum-framed, liquid cooled and electric start. The photos (appearing in a French publication) are of a 400cc machine with electric start and conventional forks — indicating that it is a replacement for the XR400, rather than a photo of the motocross specific model (which should feature upside down forks and a displacement of 500cc).
