Muddy, rutted conditions proved to be former points’ leader Ricky Carmichael’s undoing today. Kawasaki’s Carmichael fell well out of the points’ lead, while David Vuillemin (Yamaha) proved to be the mud master — taking the overall victory at Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania (3/1). Honda’s Kevin Windham was a consistent (2/2) in the two motos, while Kawasaki’s John Dowd finished third overall after winning the first moto and posting a fifth place finish in moto number two.

KTM’s Kelly Smith took the overall victory in the 125 class with l/4 scores, finishing ahead of Kawasaki’s Nick Wey (5/2) and Kawasaki’s Tallon Vohland (7/3).

Vuillemin now leads the 250 points’ race ahead of Kevin Windham. Carmichael falls all the way back to fourth, behind Honda’s Sebastien Tortelli.

In the 125 points’ chase, Honda’s Steve Lamson has a narrow lead over Yamaha’s Stephane Roncada and Kawasaki’s Tallon Vohland.
