Rumors have surfaced of a Honda design to eclipse Suzuki’s Hayabusa and Kawasaki’s ZX-12R. A CBR1300XX with 180 horsepower at the crank and a dry weight of 462 pounds is allegedly under development for introduction in the 2002 model year. Of course, the new Blackbird will have to comply with top speed regulations (which may be even more stringent in Europe in 2002). Retaining an in-line, four-cylinder configuration, the bike will likely appear as a evolution of the current design. We will keep you posted.
