Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael absolutely dominated the 250 motocross action at the Millville, Minnesota AMA Outdoor National yesterday. Carmichael finished 1/1 on the day, with Yamaha’s David Vuillemin second overall (3/2) and Honda’s Mike LaRocco third overall (5/3).

Carmichael’s main rival for the championship, Honda’s Sebastien Tortelli, finished 4/7 for fourth overall, and Carmichael stretches his points’ lead to 40 with just two rounds left in the series. Apparently, Carmichael was absolutely flying this weekend, and no one could stay close to him.

In the 125 class, Travis Pastrana had a perfect 1/1 for the overall victory, with Yamaha’s Ernesto Fonseca second overall (2/3) and Kawasaki’s Tallon Vohland third overall (3/4). Pastrana tightened the points’ race with Yamaha’s Stephane Roncada, who had a mediocre day (7/6).
