Yamaha’s Max Biaggi will be on pole tomorrow for the 500 GP of Brno. Biaggi shattered the lap record, and qualified much quicker than second quickest Loris Capirossi (Honda). Capirossi was quick despite suffering a broken bone in his hand during a practice crash. Suzuki’s Kenny Roberts, the championship points’ leader will also start from the front row as will Yamaha’s Garry McCoy.
In 250 qualifying, the Yamahas of Olivier Jacque and Shinya Nakano were the the first and second quickest bikes, with the Aprilia of Ralf Waldmann and the Honda of Tohru Ukawa filling out the front row of the grid for tomorrow’s 250 GP.
