Next week’s International Motorcycle Show at the Intermot in Germany will debut significant new models for nearly every motorcycle manufacturer on the face of the earth. Are their any surprises left?
With the Internet rumor mill picking away at the manufacturer’s secrets, there are not many surprises left. Spy photos of Honda’s Gold Wing, Yamaha’s FJ1300, Kawasaki’s re-vamped ZRX1200, etc. are to be found at various places on the net.
The one big question mark seems to be Honda (and, perhaps, Kawasaki). What does Honda have up its sleeve? The rumored four-stroke motocross bike? The rumored big-bore power cruiser? The naked VTR 1000? A revised VFR? Honda is promising many new, groundbreaking models, and Honda has been the best at keeping its secrets secret.
Kawasaki still may introduce a ZX-7R, but maybe not. What about a new four-stroke dirt bike from Kawasaki. Maybe.
The Internet has sure changed things, and secrets are harder to protect for all manufacturers. Nevertheless, next week will be interesting for motorcycle fans everywhere.
