Okay, so it won’t be called the Fazer — in the U.S. it is the FZ-1. The important thing is Yamaha is bringing it to your local, U.S. Yamaha dealer. Colors? Blue and black (both shown here). MSRP? Not announced, but expect approximately $8,300.00

The 2001 R-1! Not much more to talk about than BNG (“Bold New Graphics”). No significant changes here.
The 2001 R-6 is a different story, however. No major changes, but a loss of almost five pounds (two kilos) due to a lighter steering stem, battery and other components. With smoother shifting (changed leverage ratio) and changes to the piston, rod and carburetors, Yamaha promises better throttle response, as well.
Cruisers feature some changes as well. I only have time now to mention the Road Star Midnight, with its blacked-out motor components. Pretty cool looking!
Finally, the Champions Limited Edition R-1 and R-6. With special graphics (see photo) less than 1,000 of each of these models will be available this year.
