Kawasaki’s Japanese web site indicates this faired version of the ZR-7 750cc standard will be part of the U.S. lineup (in one color only — candy persimmon red). This model, known as the ZR-7S, will also feature stiffer front forks and new Bridgestone tires to compliment the new fairing. We liked the ZR-7 (see our review dated April 11, 2000). We think we will like the ZR-7S more — given the fact that freeway cruising won’t be such a strain with the wind off our chest.
Kawasaki’s U.S. dealer meeting is next week, and we should be able to confirm U.S. availability of this revised ZR-7, as well as its MSRP and date of availability, at that time.
