Lap records fell in both the 500 and 250 GP classes as Italians Max Biaggi (Yamaha) and Marco Melandri (Aprilia) took pole position.
Biaggi leads a pack of 500 riders that includes Alex Barros (Honda), teammate Carlos Checa, and Valentino Rossi (Honda) on the front row for tomorrows GP.
Melandri will be joined on the front row of the 250 grid by Olivier Jacque (Yamaha), Daijiro Katoh (Honda) and Franco Battaini (Aprilia).
