To say that Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael is on a tear would be an understatement. After destroying his competition in the 250 Outdoor National Motocross series, Carmichael has been working hard in the off season to get ready for the supercross championship beginning in January. Carmichael decided to train in Las Vegas this weekend, and he came away with $100,000.00.
Carmichael went 1/1 for the overall victory in the US Open of Supercross, ahead of Suzuki’s Kevin Windham (3/2) and Honda’s Mike LaRocco (2/3). Fourth overall went to Honda privateer Heath Voss (5/5), with Yamaha privateer Greg Schnell finishing fifth overall (6/7).
