Seventeen year old Suzuki star Travis Pastrana will ride the entire AMA 250 Supercross series beginning in Anaheim, California in January, 2001. This is according to a Suzuki press release received by MD yesterday. Pastrana is one of the youngest riders in memory to tackle the AMA 250 Supercross series. Last year, he finished second in the East Coast 125 Supercross series to Yamaha’s Stephane Roncada, and then captured the AMA 125 Outdoor National Motocross championship.
When the AMA switches to outdoor motocross next spring, Pastrana will ride the 125 and defend his title.
