Carmichael (250) and Langston (125) Win Dallas Supercross; Carmichael Clinches Title

Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael clinched the 250 Supercross championship last evening in Dallas, Texas with his 11th straight victory (12 on the year). Following an incredible battle with Ezra Lusk during the first half of the race, Carmichael stretched out to a comfortable lead, with Lusk (Honda) finishing second and Jeremy McGrath (Yamaha) finishing third.

With two rounds remaining, Carmichael has an insurmountable 51 point lead over Jeremy McGrath.

KTM’s Grant Langston made up for his last lap crash a few weeks ago (where he lost a sure win) by taking a convincing victory in the 125cc class in Dallas over Rodrig Thain (Suzuki) and Ernesto Fonseca (Yamaha).

Fonseca came close to clinching the title in the West Coast 125 series one round early, but Thain’s second place finish means Fonseca will have to take care of the title in the final series’ race.
