Sebastien Tortelli finished first overall at Hangtown yesterday in Round 2 of the AMA Outdoor Motocross championship series with 1/3 finishes. Second overall went to Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael (5/1), with third overall going to Honda’s Mike LaRocco (2/5). Tortelli leaves Hangtown with the series points lead.
KTM’s Grant Langston continued to dominate the 125 class by winning both motos again this week at Hangtown. Langston has now won all four motos in the 125 class this year. Second overall went to Suzuki’s Travis Pastrana (9/2), with Suzuki’s Rodrig Thain finishing third overall (4/9). Lots of crashing occurred in the 125 class at Hangtown. Langston has a commanding lead over Pastrana in the 125 cc championship points race.
