The AMA Motocross series visited Budds Creek, Maryland today, with Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael taking his second straight overall victory (1/4). The Honda of Sebastien Tortelli finished in the runner up spot, ahead of the Honda of Mike LaRocco (Tortelli finished 3/2, while LaRocco finished 2/3). Suzuki’s Kevin Windham won the second moto, but finished fourth overall on the day.
In the 125 class, Kawasaki’s Mike Brown had a perfect 1/1 performance to take the overall ahead of Yamaha’s Larry Ward (2/2) and KTM’s Brock Sellards (3/3). Points leader Travis Pastrana had a mediocre day, finishing fourth overall (4/5). KTM’s Grant Langston further injured his shoulder in practice and did not ride.
Carmichael and Pastrana continue to lead the championship points race in their respective classes.
