Suzuki’s Mat Mladin out-duelled Kawasaki’s Eric Bostrom today at Mid-Ohio in the first Superbike final of the weekend double-header. Bostrom got the hole shot and lead for several laps while Mladin tried to get around teammate Jamie Hacking.
Once around Hacking, Mladin made fairly quick work of Bostrom and pulled away to a comfortable victory, with Bostrom finishing second and Honda’s Nicky Hayden third. Tomorrow is Race Two of the double-header.
