With Suzuki’s Travis Pastrana bowing out of the MX des Nations competition, the U.S. team will be looking to Kawasaki’s Mike Brown as his replacement. Brown is currently battling KTM’s Grant Langston for the 125 Outdoor National Motocross championship.
Pastrana is the second, original member of the U.S. MX des Nations team to withdraw. Honda’s Ryan Hughes, also a concussion victim this year, withdrew from the team and was replaced by Suzuki’s Kevin Windham. The team now consists of Kawasaki’s Ricky Carmichael, Windham and Brown. The race will be held at Namur, Belgium on September 30, 2001.
