Former World Superbike champion Troy Corser has signed to develop and race the three-cylinder superbike which Carl Fogarty’s team will campaign in the latter stages of the 2002 WSB championship series. Foggy Racing should receive significant assistance from the talented and experienced Corser, as we reported earlier. Corser receives much of the credit for the rapid and successful development of Aprilia’s superbike.
It is also being reported that a production version of the machine powered by the Sauber/Petronas three-cylinder engine will make its debut in Spring of this year in Europe, with an on-sale date sometime in 2003.
By the way, Fogarty claims that reports he was not on friendly terms with Corser while they were Ducati teammates are false.
