With the introduction of the Speed 4, a uniquely-styled naked 600, and reports of a huge power cruiser (with three cylinders) in development for next year, Triumph again is playing to its strength.
While the introduction of its Super Sport 600 ran into the teeth of the Japanese competition, and struggled, Triumph has been successful at selling unique motorcycles — including retros and three-cylinder machines. Expect Triumph to develop additional models that stay away from direct competition and within unique niches.
