It was 1999 when Kawasaki last introduced a substantially new KX 125 and KX 250 (including new frames that year). Kawasaki should introduce completely new designs for the KX 125 and KX 250 for the 2003 model year. The bikes should surface in August or September of this year.

At least one GP motocross team will use prototypes of the 2003 KX 250 during the World championship series this year.
