Ducati revealed photos of its MotoGP machine today — showing only the rear of the machine. The final design will be revealed at Mugello on May 30 — site of a round of the GP roadrace series.
The traditional underseat exhaust configuration, according to Ducati, not only creates a family resemblance with the 998, but was dictated by aerodynamic testing. The double-sided swingarm reflects the fact that GP roadracing rarely involves tire changes.
Ducati has previously indicated that its World Superbike stars, including World champion Troy Bayliss, Ben Bostrom and Ruben Xaus will be involved in testing the new machine.
