Rather than testing at Road Atlanta with the rest of the factory AMA Superbike riders this week, Eric Bostrom is in Sugo, Japan for Round Four of the World Superbike championship. What is he doing in Sugo, you ask? Well, the only logical answer to that question concerns a prototype MotoGP bike under development by Kawasaki (principally, with Akira Yanagawa).
Yes, Kawasaki is grooming Eric Bostrom for World championship racing. Either MotoGP or WSB. MotoGP is what makes sense at this point, with Kawasaki’s four-stroke entry under development and due to be raced later this year. Could the Bostrom brothers be destined to race one another, again? This time in the 2003 MotoGP championship series? It could happen.
