After several public complaints by former World Champ Kenny Roberts that his Dunlop tires were problematic, the Suzuki MotoGP team is reportedly switching to Michelin tires for this weekend’s Spanish GP. According to a report in Motorcycle News of England, the switch was a result of rider complaints (Roberts’ teammate is Sete Gibernau). It is very unusual for a team to change tire sponsors in the middle of a season, and this illustrates the lengths to which Suzuki will go to be competitive this year.
