Suzuki’s Travis Pastrana practiced today here in Southern California at Glen Helen Raceway — site of Sunday’s opening round of the AMA Outdoor National Motocross series. Pastrana will race on Sunday for the first time since the Daytona Supercross, where he fainted. Following Daytona, Pastrana had two surgeries (one for a sinus condition, and one to remove his tonsils).
Pastrana is a former 125 Outdoor National Motocross champion and one of the few riders with the speed to challenge Honda’s Ricky Carmichael this year in the 250 class (see our Outdoor National preview article here). Reports indicate Pastrana has not been able to train until very recently, and his conditioning is still below par.
