Ducati’s Troy Bayliss won the first WSB race at Laguna Seca Raceway today. He was followed home by teammate Ruben Xaus, with Honda’s Colin Edwards third.
In race two, Edwards brought home the victory in front of his home crowd, while Bayliss finished second in front of Neil Hodgson (Ducati). The second race was particularly close until the last two laps, when Edwards gained a slight gap on the battle between Bayliss and Hodgson.
On the day, Bayliss increased his already substantial points lead over Edwards in the championship race.
