The brave new world (scary new world?) of FMX is upon us. The back flip is destined to become commonplace — Metzger and Pastrana have made sure of that.
The back flip in FMX, after Carey Hart’s scary attempts, was the great divide that had to be crossed. Metzger and Pastrana make the back flip look easy and controlled. They clearly know what they are doing, but their skill levels may be well beyond those of the typical freestyler.
Here’s hoping no one gets seriously injured trying to step up to the Metzger/Pastrana level in FMX.
