Yamaha’s Max Biaggi claimed his first MotoGP victory today on a Yamaha four-stroke, ahead of the Honda four-stroke piloted by Daijiro Kato.
Biaggi battled most of the race with defending World champion Valentino Rossi (Honda), until Rossi had to visit the pits to change his rear tire. Rossi ultimately retired from the race.
