Honda’s Ricky Carmichael bounced back from his defeat last weekend in San Diego to win the Minneapolis Supercross this evening over Ezra Lusk (Kawasaki) and Tim Ferry (Yamaha). Although Yamaha’s Chad Reed had the fastest lap times all evening, he crashed while leading the main event, crashed again, and ultimately finished in sixth place.
Minneapolis hosted Round 1 of the Eastern Region 125 series and Branden Jesseman (Suzuki) took the win. Brock Sellards (Yamaha) and Michael Byrne (Honda) finished second and third, respectively. Byrne charged from last place after a crash in the first corner.
Carmichael stretches his points lead over Chad Reed in the AMA Supercross series, while Reed continues to lead the FIM World Supercross GP series. Take a look at the official THQ World Supercross GP site for additional details and points.
