Kurtis Roberts (Honda) won a classic 600 supersport drafting battle at Daytona over Yamaha’s Jamie Hacking today. Honda’s Miguel DuHamel finished third. As the riders in the lead group took turns drafting one another around the high banking, it looked like a ballet. Timing, and more than a little luck can determine who crosses the finish line first in these circumstances, and Roberts got a break when Hacking led out of the chicane (usually, the wrong thing to do) and Roberts used the draft to reach the finish line first.
The Daytona 200 Superbike race was rained out, and rescheduled for tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.
