On a brutal, muddy, severely rutted track, Honda’s Ricky Carmichael won his fourth straight Daytona 250 supercross yesterday, ahead of Yamaha teammates Chad Reed and Tim Ferry. Carmichael was clearly the class of the field, with only Reed staying anywhere near him. Reed finished fourteen seconds back, while Ferry and the rest of the field were a minute or more behind.
In the 125 Eastern series race, Mike Brown (Kawasaki) fought his way into the lead and held on to take the checkered flag ahead of the Suzukis of Branden Jesseman and Shae Bentley.
Jesseman leads the 125 East Coast Supercross series, while Carmichael further pads his lead over Chad Reed in the 250 class.
