A report on Colin Edward’s web site indicates that he suffered a “severely sprained ankle, puncture wound to the elbow, possible torn ligaments in his shoulder, along with some good old fashioned road rash” in his start-line crash at the Welkom MotoGP this weekend.
The shoulder could turn out to be the most problematic circumstance for Edwards. Hopefully, he will be ready for the next round at Jerez (where he has already shown exceptional speed on the Aprilia Cube) on May 11. We will try to bring you another update on his condition as soon as we find out more definite information.
