Kawasaki’s Eric Bostrom won his fourth AMA Superbike race at Pikes Peak International Raceway today — more wins than any other superbike rider in the history of the series at the track.
In the process, Bostrom closed to within four points of the AMA Superbike Championship series lead (behind Suzuki’s Aaron Yates). Kurtis Roberts finished second on the day aboard his Honda, while Yates finished third.
The man who was seemingly dominating this series before his rear tire blew up at the last round, Mat Mladin, finished ninth after pitting for a new rear tire. When the race was stopped with six laps remaining due to a red flag, Mladin lost his chance to work his way back up through the field.
