Ricky Carmichael continued to roll through the AMA 250 Outdoor National Motocross championship series today with 1/1 moto scores at Southwick, Massachusetts. Finishing second to Carmichael overall was John Dowd (KTM) with Kevin Windham (Honda) third. Carmichael stretches his already huge points lead in the series.
In the 125 class, both Mike Brown (Kawasaki) and Ryan Hughes (KTM), the series leaders, had off days. Hughes reportedly broke his leg in the first moto, and soldiered through the second moto to earn enough points to stay within five points of the series leading Brown. The winner in the 125 class, however, was Craig Anderson (Yamaha), with Michael Byrne (Honda) second overall and Brock Sellards (Yamaha) third overall.
