With all the hype leading into this MotoGP season, with all the former (and current) World champions participating, and all the speculation that Valentino Rossi would be challenged, and even struggle, Rossi marches on almost like this is any other season.
If Rossi continues at the same pace this season, and takes yet another World championship, we are ready to concede that he is the greatest ever. On top of everything else he has done this year, the qualifying lap he threw down at Catalunya today (take a look at the MotoGP site here) proves that he has no peer.
There are other riders on the track with him every weekend who deserve “hall of fame” status, including Max Biaggi, but Rossi is not your ordinary hall of famer. He is in the process of proving that he is the best ever.
