Honda’s Ricky Carmichael won yet another overall victory at the Budds Creek round of the AMA 250 National Motocross series. Carmichael did lose the first moto to Yamaha’s Tim Ferry, but rebounded to win moto number 2. Finishing second and third overall on the day were Stephane Roncada (Suzuki) and Kevin Windham (Honda). Carmichael continues to have a large points lead in the championship race.
In the 125 class, Kawasaki’s James Stewart returned to action after time off to recover from supercross injuries, and he did it with a bang. Stewart won both motos (winning the second moto after crashing in the first turn and mounting nearly in last place). Ivan Tedesco (Yamaha) and Grant Langston (KTM) finished second and third, respectively. Mike Brown continues to hold the points lead in the championship series.
