It is now essentially beyond the rumor stage . . . Aprilia will introduce a 2004 motocross machine powered by a four-stroke 450cc engine. Several sources report that Aprilia is already securing spots on the grid for the 2004 Motocross GP World championship, where it will run a factory team, backing two riders.
We still don’t know if Aprilia will use a Yamaha engine in its initial, production motocross bike. We will just have to wait and see. Expect an official announcement in the September time frame.
