Four-Time AMA Superbike Champ Mat Mladin
The big news following this weekend’s AMA superbike double-header at Barber Motorsports Park is that Mat Mladin won his record fourth AMA Superbike National championship. In the process, Mladin finished fourth in Saturday’s race, and third in Sunday’s race. Saturday’s superbike race was won by Mladin’s Yoshimura Suzuki teammate Aaron Yates, ahead of second place Kurtis Roberts (Honda) and third place Ben Bostrom (Honda).
On Sunday, the two riders standing in the spots higher than Mladin on the podium were Kurtis Roberts with the win, and Giovanni Bussei (Ducati) in second place.
