After his podium finish in Brazil last week, Makoto Tamada (Honda) will visit a circuit he is actually quite familiar with, for a change. The MotoGP rookie has raced at the Motegi circuit more than once (he was a Honda superbike rider, after all), and this next round on the MotoGP calendar will be only the second track Tamada will visit this year that he has previously ridden on (Suzuka was the other track). Yes, Tamada grabbed third place at Brazil despite never seeing the circuit before a few days prior to the race. His Bridgestone-shod Honda certainly found the pace in Brazil, and Tamada could be ready to challenge for victory at Motegi. Of course, beating Rossi is never easy (for anyone), but Bridgestone and Tamada have both been improving throughout this championship series, and, together with the Honda V-5 powered machine, they present a formidable challenge on familiar turf.
