Ben Bostrom (Honda) was easily the fastest rider on the track tonight in Las Vegas, where he won the AMA Supermoto championship. Americans took all three podium positions in the winner-take-all final event, with motocrossers Doug Henry (Yamaha) and Jeff Ward (Honda) finishing second and third.
Perhaps, the most interesting story of the night was the dominance of the American riders over the top European riders imported for this special event, including Boris Chambon (KTM), Jurgen Kunzel (KTM) and Alexandre Thiebault (Honda). These World championship riders were expected to dominate here in Vegas, but each of them had problems in the final, and the Americans showed both speed and consistency throughout the race.
