Chad Reed (Yamaha) won an epic battle with Kevin Windham (Honda) this evening at the AMA Supercross round in San Diego, California. The 250cc main event saw Reed and Windham less than a bike length apart for the first 13 laps, with Windham holding a narrow lead. Reed made the pass with seven laps to go, and pulled a comfortable gap before the checkered flag. Windham finished second with David Vuillemin (Yamaha) third.
In the 125cc Western Region main event, Ivan Tedesco (Kawasaki) won his fourth straight race. Tedesco is a perfect four for four this year. Hondas finished in second and third, with Nathan Ramsey and Travis Preston aboard.
