Young Joshua Hansen is a very good rider, but during the first few rounds of the 125cc Western Region series, he did not have the speed over 15 laps to hang with Ivan Tedesco, Stephane Roncada, Travis Preston or Natham Ramsey (when he wasn’t crashing). Nevertheless, Hansen finished second to Bubba Stewart in the 125cc Eastern Region main event at St. Louis last weekend.
Of course, most of the factories conceded the Eastern Region title to Stewart and sent their best riders to the Western Region series. One has to wonder, however, how close Tedesco and crew could hang on to the flying phenom Stewart. We will have a chance to find out at the Las Vegas round, which will feature top riders from both the Eastern and Western regions in the same main event.
