A rumor running rampant on the internet today concerned the financial condition of Moto Guzzi. According to the rumor, Moto Guzzi had shut down, and was in financial straits (perhaps, even in the Italian equivalent of bankruptcy). A phone call to a high ranking Aprilia official in the United States confirmed that this rumor is absolutely false, however. The main manufacturing plant in Italy for Moto Guzzi is closed, but only for a few days in order to make some adjustments to the production line. This is a normal occurrence, and Moto Guzzi is financially viable, and moving forward — again, according to the Aprilia representative. Aprilia, of course, owns the Moto Guzzi brand.
