The AMA supercross series visited Salt Lake City this evening, with Honda’s Kevin Windham taking the 250cc class win ahead of Chad Reed (Yamaha) and David Vuillemin (Yamaha), in second and third, respectively. With Reed and Vuillemin each receiving a 25 point penalty from the AMA for a violation of the rule concerning permitted fuel during the Texas round on April 17, Reed was unable to clinch the series title this evening and takes a 12 point lead to the final race of the year at Las Vegas, Nevada next weekend.
Ivan Tedesco (Kawasaki), having clinched the Western Region 125 title one round early, enjoyed himself this evening in Salt Lake without any pressure. Tedesco takes another win (his seventh of the series) ahead of teammate Stephane Roncada and Brock Sellards (Yamaha).
